Welcome to Millinocket! Maine’s Biggest Small Town. Known to the state as the Recreation Capital and home of Mt Katahdin. Listed below are the best places to visit while in town!
Millinocket is located approximately 25 minutes from Penobscot River Trails.

New England Outdoor Center
Open year round and located 35 minutes from PRT – on Millinocket Lake, catch stunning vistas of Katahdin from your cabin or while dining in the River Drivers Restaurant. NEOC has 20 cabins on-site with full amenities. Snowmobile rentals in the winter, as well as Fat Tire Bikes, XC Skis and Snowshoes. There are 16 miles of ski trails behind the River Driver’s Restaurant to make for a full weekend of skiing between NEOC and PRT!

River Driver’s Restaurant – 
Located on-site of the New England Outdoor Center, enjoy casual lakeside dining. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, has a busy bar and offers the very popular Carrabassett Valley Coffee. Please always check current hours as they may change season to season.
